Business Development Manager, Medical (#6908)

The Company

Our client is a leading edge designer and manufacturer of high quality medical imaging systems. The company has a long history of providing innovative solutions that are incorporated into the medical diagnostic and equipment industry.

The Position

This is an international Business Development and Sales role reporting to the Vice President, Business Development and Marketing. The major focus will be to identify and capture customers in the medical sector, primarily in North America and Europe.

The Business Development Manager, Medical will concentrate on prospecting, qualifying and securing customers while maintaining close business relations with existing customers. This person will work with the existing Regional Sales Managers to formulate and execute Sales campaigns and strategies across all medical markets.

Operating in a matrix environment, the individual will be expected to interface with all levels of the organization, including Operations, Program Management, Engineering and Quality Assurance.

The Candidate

To be successful, the ideal candidate should possess the following education, skills and experience:

  • University or technical education in physics, engineering or science
  • Demonstrated experience and success in the sales of medical instrumentation or diagnostic imaging. Knowledge of electro-optical systems will be a distinct asset
  • A self-starter who is equally comfortable working in a team environment
  • Excellent ability to make presentations to audiences with varying backgrounds and disciplines
  • Well developed communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain customer relations
  • Results-oriented
