The Position
Reporting the VP of Sales and Marketing, the Director of Marketing will have overall accountability for Teva’s new product introductions, managing the P&L including forecasting and execution of customer facing marketing in Canada, differentiating Teva’s position in the market. Managing a team of 7, the Director will bring a high level of creativity and energy to the organization, performing the role with a substantive degree of autonomy and confidence.
- Ensure alignment and communication between departments: Sales, Regulatory Affairs, Project Management Office, R&D, Legal, and Business Development
- Responsible to work with internal stakeholders, pharmacists and corporate clients, as well as provincial governments
- Approve and implement all product launches from R&D Work Plan pipeline to commercialized products.
- Strong execution skills in addition to creative leadership skills that will continue to drive market share
- Maximize launch strategy based on market requirements (pack size, strength, forecast)
- Responsible for bottom up roll-up of the annual Work Plan.
- Review and Signoff product packaging guidelines, communication and any other printed marketing material.
- Maximize awareness of advertising campaigns
- Drive brand alignment of internal and external touch points (convert all corporate reference to Teva Novopharm, Sales Rep training, logo usage, etc…)
- Manage relationship with external vendors
- Participate in the sustainability project
- Maintain Teva’s leadership role within the technician field
- Maximize the value of Teva’s total business and base business portfolio; shape strategies to improve mix and margins
- Represent Sales and Marketing at the product portfolio life cycle meeting
- Annual budget planning for the marketing team
- Approved product forecast and Increase sales forecasts accuracy on all products
- Sourcing and contract negotiations with vendors
- Enhance employee productivity, teamwork, communication and development (team development)
- Provide leadership and guidance to the marketing team:
- Manager of New Products, Manager of Base Business, Manager of Business Information, Marketing Coordinator, Graphic Designer, Translator
The Candidate
- University Degree Science undergrad with MBA preferred
- Generic industry, pharmacy practices, and healthcare industry experience preferred
- Strong marketing & financial knowledge
- Detail oriented individual with skill in computing moderately complex ratios, rates, statistics, averages and percentages
- Knowledge of applying simple quantitative data to create graphs/charts/diagrams
- Ability to interpret trends represented in a graphs/charts/diagrams/tables
- Experience managing a team
- Demonstrate a strong ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in writing
- Prepare technical/complex written materials that are accurate, clear, logical, well organized and contain proper grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Customer first focus; seeks interaction with customers
- Demonstrate the ability to set priorities, make decisions
- Required to establish organization/work unit needs and priorities
- Develop strategies to achieve multiple short and long term goals
- Consistently evaluate work processes and outcomes
- Work with global organization to leverage best practices
